The courses cater to people with all manner of experience and operate on the ethos that the only requirement is a willingness to give yourself over to the experience with an open mind and heart. Whether you’re arriving with no experience at all, a professional acting degree, or decades of experience working in the industry, you’ll find that everyone starts with the same beginner’s mind in this work.

The Advanced, Scene Study or Drop-In classes are the only ones with entry requirements. For in the Intro Course, there is no need to submit any examples of your work when applying for the Intro Course.

If your experience is limited to the Repetition exercise, the Advanced Course will feature many fundamentals of the technique (covered on the Intro Course) which you may not be familiar with. As my teacher training was with the second generation of teachers specifically trained by Meisner to pass on his teaching, I follow the same basic structure he was teaching with before he died, with some necessary adjustments in line with the changing times. If you have some but no extensive experience of the exercises that follow the basic Word Repetition Game, you may find that progressing straight to the Advanced Course could impact your absorption of the course’s teachings. However, a short chat can always be arranged to discuss your suitability and what course would work best for you.
